But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop…Luke 8:15 (Luke 8: 11 – 15)
I know that I am like that farmer, except in today’s society, we would relate more to a business person. While that farmer was sowing seed, what we don’t know is that the farmer had help. Others were throwing seed into the ground as well. And while all of his helpers may not have thrown the seed, some cared for the soil and still others helped prepare for the season of harvest.
In my time of prayer, I have been seeking the Lord about how to take His word that is on the inside of me to places that I have not yet been. He gave me the story of the farmer and the different kinds of soil. What stuck out to me more than the different kinds of soil was the fact that he had to throw the seed in order to get a harvest. I wonder if the farmer could tell right away what kind of soil it was, or if there was some places where it looked like good soil, only to find that it did not produce much? From this parable, I know that my concern is not to worry about the soil quite yet, but to get the seed onto the ground.
This is where others come in. There are many women who have prayed that God enlarge my territory. There are others who have asked how they can help me because they have been so blessed by my ministry. Well, there are a few ways and I pray that as you read this, you begin to ask God how you can play a part in helping me spread God’s word to His daughters.
