Stand in Faith!

The other day I was sitting in the car waiting for someone to come out of their friend’s house and I decided to pick up the bible and read a little. In Bible College we are reading the book of Romans so of course that is the first place I went. I wanted to reread chapter 9 because it did not make sense to me the first time I read it. I wanted to find out if I could grab onto something different this time around then when I read it before. As I read, it went from me waiting for someone, to waiting to hear the next word that God was revealing to me.

Even though we may not be looking for anything in particular to change in our lives, through our faith everything attached to us will always be brought into good light. We were saved through our faith and we are still saved through it. Through our faith comes trust and through trust comes belief and through belief comes hope and through hope comes everlasting happiness. When we are searching for clarity in any area of our life or looking for answers, we have to always search in faith. So many times we will mess everything up, thinking that just by our works all things are taken care of. But if you do not have the faith running behind all that you do, everything that you have done doesn’t even matter. James 2: 26 says, “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also”. And the goes in vice versa, you have to have faith to move in all that you do. Never just do the works because you feel that it is something that you must do to move forward in God. Just because it is of God, it does not mean that it is always meant for us. But walk in all things with great joy, even the things that tend to trip you up. There are going to be rocks and stones that are in our pathway and without our faith to keep us moving past them, we will fall.

Romans 9: 33 says, “I am placing a stone in Jerusalem that causes people to stumble, and a rock that makes them fall.”

But the Lord our God loves you and He has sent His Helper to be your comforter. He will not let you be harmed nor hurt. And never be ashamed of what you have been through and what you are currently going through.

Romans 9: 33 continues to say, “The one who trusts in Him will never be put to shame.”

We have to learn to stand up after we fall because God is not the one condemning us. So many times we fail to realize that all that we go through is for such a greater reason then who we even are. Never hide your experiences or be ashamed of them. They have gotten you to the place where you are now and God loves you right where you are. You are exactly where you are supposed to be, even though it may not seem like it. Instead ask how to turn them from mistakes into testimonies and from testimonies into life savers.
